February 20, 2008 - A recently released report by the Commonwealth Fund, which cited data from a 2007 survey of states, in which 41 states and the District of Colombia responded, identified Health Information Exchange (HIE) as a top priority. The report showed that state officials identified their top two e-health priorities as HIE adoption (25 states) and HIE policy development (12 states).
